The FirstWave Side Table started as plastic waste that washed up on BC’s beaches. That plastic was collected and processed, then transformed into something new. Instead of sitting on the shoreline, breaking down into microplastics, it’s now repurposed into a durable, functional piece of furniture.
There’s no shortage of plastic in the world, and most of it isn’t going anywhere. A lot of the plastic that gets cleaned up doesn’t end up being reused, and we wanted to change that. The FirstWave Side Table is about proving that plastic waste doesn’t have to be waste at all—it can be reshaped, reworked, and given a second life as something useful.
Each table is made from recycled plastic that was originally recovered from BC’s coastlines. It’s built to last, with a simple, clean design that fits into any space. Every piece is slightly different, a reflection of the process that turns discarded plastic into a finished product. The material is sturdy, weather-resistant, and a reminder that sustainability isn’t about perfection—it’s about finding ways to make better choices with what we already have.
For this first run, we’re keeping production small—just 50 tables. It takes time to process the material, and we want to make sure every piece meets our standards. If you want one, pre-orders are open now. Once these 50 are gone, they’re gone.
